Kia ora! Welcome to the Wanacation 2026 website. Here you'll find information about our trip and a little about Wanaka in general. I'll keep updating it when there's new details but send me a message if you have any questions. There's a forum at the bottom of the page to chat amongst yourselves and a playlist to help set the mood :)

The Wānaka region is centrally located in the Southern Alps of New Zealand.

I will organise transport to take everyone from Queenstown airport to their accommodation upon arrival. I don't reccomend driving the Crown Range Road after a long flight, especially if you haven't done it before.
You might want to hire a car once you're in Wanaka. Here's a link to some options.
Our accommodation is kind of close to each other. We could probably walk to each others' houses (if we were feeling especially fit or 'jovial').
I'll do some research into babysitters and toy libraries and will include that information here when I find it.

I've organised a few fun and iconic Wanaka experiences for us. They’re completely optional, but closer to the date I may need to gather expressions of interest to help organise catering and transport. Some detail is in the calendar.
